So tell me, who doesn’t love pumpkins in the fall?
Now, I will say, this time of year here is Spring in Australia, but don’t let me fool you, I live virtuously for Fall (Autumn) and Winter during the warmer months. If you haven’t read my introduction, I am from the UK and have lived in Australia for over eight years. I still miss the changing seasons and the cool change at this time of year.
I can’t say there is anyone I have ever come across who says they don’t! I used to always associate pumpkins with only being orange and carved out for Halloween (not my thing, orange or Halloween!), however, I never knew about pumpkins that were white, nor did I consider the fact that you could paint them (or make them out of other items)! As I say, because of the orange/carving thing in my head, I genuinely never really thought that much about the vegetable (or is it a fruit?)…until a few years ago. My oldest son used to attend a Montessori School and one day they were cooking ‘Pumpkin Pancakes’ and so I got a taste of them and oh my…yummo!!!
I literally got home and started looking up recipes on Pinterest and discovered I needed Pumpkin Puree which is not sold by the tin (can) here in Australia and so I cooked up enough pumpkin to make some puree for these delicious pancakes (I could not get the flavour of, out of my mouth!!). Anyhow, we ate more of the yummy cakes-cooked-in-a-pan and I have never looked back.
So yes, of course, I now love pumpkins for many reasons and when I realised there are white varieties, I was literally jumping up and down with excitement (well, maybe not the jumping, but you get the excitement level!)…
So, those pictures and inspiration I hear you say, well here you go…
Aren’t these displays of white pumpkin goodness just devine?! I don’t think I could even pick a favourite!! Can you?
Thanks for stopping by guys – it’s great to have you here. I’d love to know more about you! Why not pop on over to Instagram (The ‘Gram as my husband calls it…is that weird or does anyone else do that?? Ha ha!) and say hello 🙂 I’m not weird, really, or maybe just a little…we all have our little quirks…okay…stop rambling now Laurie!!!!! Really, I would love it if you came over to say hello 🙂
